Trekking and Hiking in Knuckles Mountain with Camping

Yes! we are flexible enough to delay maximum 30 minutes but we are highly recommending leave the Kandy scheduled time. Because you need to report to the campsite before the late evening. Knuckles is a misty area and there is huge mist surrounding the Knuckles’ range in the evening. Therefore, safe side we need to report to campsite between 3 – 4 p.m.

Yes of course! That mentioned breaks in the itinerary to indicate about breaks in between the Knuckles trekking tour and there is no restriction to take a break or take pictures while you are Trekking.

We want to keep you relax and add memories of your Sri Lanka holiday. So, you are feeling free to take the pictures as souvenir and we are flexible always with our valued customers’ comfortability.

If you can leave the hotel with packed breakfast, it is a fantastic idea and that would be much more comfortable to trekking in the forest and you have enough time to relaxing at the campsite

Yes of course! We will bring some extra fruits to keep you comfortable and some sandwich (such as tomato and cheese). You need some extra energy, such a long walk distance. 

There is no additional cost for those extra fruits and snacks!

It is a basic private tent but there is no setup toilet around the tent. You need to use bush for toilets.

it is basic scout tent and cannot install bed to inside but we will offer comfortable matters with linen.

We will select the campsite more nature and attractive place. There will be staff around you and one by one sleep shift basis to ensure the safety. Anyway, campsite set up near the waterfall or water stream. We will inform to Forest Department about location of the campsite for safety of you. campsite may not set up animal access locations

We will check with your meal allergic and we will offer comfortable meat items and foods for you. You will consume all Sri Lankan spicy foods and besides local foods, we will offer western type foods as well such bread, omelet, butter, jam as well

Yes! we will apply all standard hygienic factors and local chef make the foods at campsite.

Yes of course! You can bring the luggage by pick up vehicle and until the tour ends, we will arrange 100% safe place to keep the luggage. After the tour end you can collect them and proceed to next destination. 

Yes! you do not need to return to Kandy itself, you are feeling free to choose next destination and we can drop wherever you need to go. If that destination within 50 Km from Knuckles, then there is no any additional cost. If your destination exceeding the 50 Km, then you need to pay only for the additional Km.

It is LKR 50 per extra Km and you can check with us to get the exact cost. When you are processing the reservation

We highly recommended to keep lightweight back pack. You need to bring only your personal sanitary items, couple of t-shirts & shorts or couple of comfortable casual dress, swimming dress and your personal medicine. Please keep basic and low weight backpack with you.

No! there is no such power bank facility with our crew members. You need to bring the own portable power bank, if you need to charge your electronic devises

Yes! but you cannot just extend the distance while you are trekking or add a couple of days. You need to be discussed the distance prior to booking. Then we will communicate with our crew and you can add another 6 – 10 Km and there is no additional cost. However, if you need to extend number days, then you can contact us and we will advise you extending dates, trekking trail and cost

Yes! per transfer, we can reduce LKR 5,000 (USD $30). So, if you can manage entire transport by yourself, we can reduce USD $80 in your total cost.

No! Horton Plains and other national parks are under the environment protection of law. Therefore, law applies to locals and foreigners as well. None of us allowed to collect or keep such a thing or take it out of the national park. My Ceylon Adventures accountable to Wildlife law and if Government made an investigation, we are liable to provide all information. Therefore, please do not remove or collect any flora or fauna from the national parks.
