Overview

Negombo inland fishing tours take place in Negombo Lagoon. It is the biggest lagoon in Sri Lanka and Negombo lagoon is the most nature diversified lagoon in Sri Lanka. Apart from fishing, you can be exploring nature, endemic and migrating bird species, mangrove, islands, crabs and prawn farms and unique lagoon fishing technique. 

Negombo is the best place for inland fishing in Sri Lanka and experiences many things in one activity. 

There are 30 exotic fish species in fresh water and some of them are conservation of wildlife, NADA and NARA. You will fish mainly following species in Negombo lagoon.

    Note: we are highly recommending morning fishing session and possibility of fishing so high.

    • If you are going to cancel the activity before the 24 hours of the operation, take place, then we will not apply for any cancelation charge.
    • If the activity cancels from My Ceylon Adventures (our) end because of unexpected weather condition effect then Fully refunded (100%) or you can book alternative activity instead of the refund.

    Yes! we do not add any other customer with your fishing tour because of the present health and safety issues

    It is early morning fishing tour (6 a.m.) Has over 90% of the high possibility of fishing

    because of the warm in day time fish are spreading to deep water in our experience, the evening has less possibility but you try the luck. 

    We have given evening fishing as option who wants fishing but who cannot do morning

    Absolutely No! we are offering as value addition for this inland fishing and offer wonderful experience

    It is depending on the time availability and salty fishing market closing at 6 p.m. but we will take you experience potential places such as evening fish market auction. Instead of local lunch, we will offer evening snack with hot tea/ coffee

    Yes! We will provide torch and required lights

    If you could not do fishing because of bad weather and if your complaint before you sail then we will cancel the operation and money will be fully refunded. But once you sail and if your complaint, then we cannot refund the money because we already incurred cost for the particular operation, therefore, we cannot refund. 

    So please ensure keep complaints before you sail and check the weather before you sail. It does not matter even last minute if you cancel the tour and money can be refunded.

    It is 3 - 4 hrs standard time and you can extend the duration pay additional payment per hour USD $50

    Yes! fully refunded from our side because of the Weather or unexpected circumstance

    We will keep post before the operation takes place in 24 hrs. If you did not receive any message from our end, that’s mean scheduled operation of activity takes place as it is

    We will follow the WHO given guidelines and we will ensure 100% safe from our side

    We will sail with our valued customers only in perfect weather and all boats are tests before the sailing. So, possibility of such an incident is very rare.

    So far, we never come across such terrible experience 😊 but sudden engine trouble can happen and in case such issue our boatman can fix it in few minutes and in case if he could not fix, we will transfer you to an alternative boat. 

    We will provide life jackets and our fishing guides are excellent swimmers and they have worked with fishing for over 20 years on a particular coast. So, they can manage any kind of emergency.

    No! it is up to you and you can cook own fish and taste it and you can celebrate the hard working with chilled beer 😊
