Overview

Bird watching in Tangalle takes place in Kalametiya lagoon and Kalametiya bird sanctuary is a wonderful bird sanctuary in Southern coast. Kalametiya bird sanctuary similar to Bundala bird sanctuary and Kalametiya bird sanctuary established in 1938. Kalametiya bird sanctuary in between Tangalle and Hambantota and 18 Km away from the Tangalle town (30 min drive from the Tangalle). Kalametiya bird sanctuary 

It spread Kalametiya bird sanctuary over 2500 hectares in the southern coastal belts and it is a dry zone wetland bird sanctuary.     Yes, it is private guided bird watching tour

    It is an early morning tour (6.00 a.m.) highly recommended and possibility of spot endemic and many bird species than day time

    Well, there is a possibility of spotting birds in the evening as well, but in our experience there is a high possibility of spot large number bird species in the morning and you have a time do a walk around the bird sanctuary. But in the evening, you can experience the sunset with returning birds to nest

    You will do the double catamaran canoe because there are some islands in the lagoon and cannot do walking to those islands or muddy lands, but after the boat ride you can do a mini walk as well

    Yes! high stability because of double catamaran canoe, there is no possibility of boat accidents. We will provide life jackets for additional safety

    Not at all! Because double catamaran canoe paddling boat and you can hear only vibrations of the water. Therefore, there is no noisy to disturbance to birds or nature.

    If you could not do birds watching tour wind or raining weather and if your complaint before you sail then we will cancel the operation and money fully refunded.
